Regina Daniels Responds to Criticism After Emotional Video on Marriage Issues with Ned Nwoko

Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has addressed the backlash trailing a video she recently shared discussing the challenges in her marriage with her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.

In the video, which she said was recorded around 5 a.m. on October 5, Regina revealed that she had struggled to sleep due to the emotional weight of the situation. Referring to Nwoko as her “ex-husband,” the actress said her family has been dealing with deeply distressing issues behind the scenes.

Regina also condemned the harsh comments directed at her mother, Rita Daniels, stressing that her mother should not be blamed or dragged into the ongoing marital crisis. She maintained that Rita has been a constant source of strength and guidance in her life, and does not deserve any form of disrespect.

However, the video drew mixed reactions from Nigerians on social media. Some critics claimed the actress was not making sense in her explanation, while others accused her of mocking people for having an opinion about her life.

Responding to this, Regina said she felt obligated to explain herself because many Nigerians have followed her career since childhood and feel emotionally invested.

“For some reason, I feel like I owe you all this explanation because I don’t know why everyone is pained about my life. I don’t think it comes from a bad place. You all bought my CDs with your N200 or N500 to watch my movies when I was a child. It’s okay. I am in the limelight. You all have a say,” she stated.

The actress assured that despite the criticism, she remains focused on her personal well-being and family.
