Popular Nigerian TikToker Habeeb Hamzat, widely known as Peller, has gained admission into a Lagos-based university to study law, marking a new chapter in his academic journey.

The content creator announced the development in a video shared on social media on Saturday, where he also addressed long-standing criticism over his educational background.

In the video, Peller was seen entering a building with a statue of justice at its entrance, hinting at his choice of course and signalling a shift in how he wants to be perceived. He disclosed that he had been admitted into a private university in Lagos but declined to reveal the institution’s name.

Reacting to past mockery, Peller said critics had often attacked him for not attending university, stressing that his admission should put such narratives to rest.

“I’m now in school. I’m studying law, and I know the law now. You can’t mess with me anymore,” he said.

Naija News reports that the TikToker has frequently faced online backlash, with some critics labelling him as uneducated. Earlier this month, he revealed plans to return to school, explaining that the decision was partly motivated by a desire to improve his spoken English.

Peller has also recently made headlines following an incident involving American streamer IShowSpeed during his visit to Nigeria, where Peller was reportedly stopped by security personnel from meeting the streamer for a potential collaboration.
