The All Progressives Congress (APC) on Wednesday distributed materials for the conduct of ward congresses in Benue State.
Performing the ceremony at the APC state secretariat in Makurdi, Dr Auwalu Ishiye, Chairman, Ward/Local Government Committee for the state, said the exercise would be across all the 276 wards.
Ishiye assured that the exercise would be hitch-free, adding that Benue is known for her enduring peace over the years.
The chairman said each ward would elect 27 officials and ten delegates who would participate in the forthcoming local government and state congresses◊.
Earlier, the State Organising Secretary, Mr James Ornguga, revealed that all those who purchased forms were screened and certified by the screening committee.
Ornguga also said the return of the purchased forms showed that all aspirants were unopposed in the state.
