Giuffre family hails UK action on Epstein files, faults US inaction

The family of Virginia Roberts Giuffre has praised British authorities for what they described as meaningful steps toward accountability in handling the Jeffrey Epstein case files, while criticising what they called continued inaction in the United States.

In a statement issued on Monday, the family commended the UK for treating the Epstein-related investigations with urgency, saying recent arrests represent an important move toward truth and justice, even though they are not directly linked to the original exploitation allegations.

“As Virginia Roberts Giuffre’s family, we commend the British authorities for taking meaningful action and treating the Epstein files with the urgency they demand,” the statement said. “While these arrests aren’t for the underlying exploitation, they are a crucial step toward truth and accountability.”

The family also drew a sharp contrast with the situation in the United States, accusing authorities there of failing to act decisively.

“The contrast with the continued inaction in the United States is undeniable,” they added. “Survivors deserve transparency, swift investigation, and real justice, no matter who is implicated.”

The statement adds to growing international pressure on authorities to pursue accountability and transparency in cases linked to Epstein and his network.
