The Member representing Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Chief Hon. Pst. Ojotu Ojema, has felicitated with Muslims across the world, especially those in Apa and Agatu Federal Constituency, on the occasion of the 2026 Eid al-Adha celebration.
Ojema, who also serves as Chairman of the House Committee on National Inland Waterways, described Eid al-Adha as a sacred festival that symbolizes sacrifice, obedience, faith and total submission to the will of Almighty God, as demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim’s unwavering devotion and willingness to sacrifice his son in obedience to God’s command.
In a statement issued on Wednesday through his Media Aide, Olikita Ekani, the federal lawmaker urged Muslim faithful to continue to uphold the virtues of love, sacrifice, tolerance, peace and unity which the festival represents.
He also prayed for sustained harmony, progress and development in Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency, Benue State and Nigeria as a whole.
Ojema further called on Nigerians to use the festive period to pray for the peace, security and economic prosperity of the country, stressing that collective commitment to national unity and peaceful coexistence remains crucial to building a stronger and more prosperous nation.
The lawmaker wished Muslims a peaceful, joyous and spiritually rewarding Eid al-Adha celebration.
