Eid-Ul-Adha: Baba Adini of Osun State, Dr Kolawole congratulates Muslims, people of Osun

By Richard Akintade, Osogbo

As Muslims celebrate this year’s Eid-ul-Adha (Eid Kabir), the Baba Adini of Osun State, Alhaji Dr. Abdulfatai Adesina Kolawole, JP, is felicitating with all Muslim faithfuls and the entire good people of Osun State on this sacred and joyous occasion.

Dr Kolawole in his special message to the entire Muslims made available to newsmen in Osogbo the capital of Osun State, Eid Kabir is not merely a season of celebration, feasting, and merriment; it is a divine reminder of the virtues of faith, sacrifice, obedience, love, generosity, and compassion, as demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim (AS) in his total submission to the will of Almighty Allah, saying, this celebration calls on us to reflect deeply on our responsibilities to Allah and humanity, as Allah reminds us in the Holy Qur’an:

“The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed [of grain] which grows seven spikes; in each spike is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies [His reward] for whom He wills. And Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing, (Qur’an 2:261)”

“This noble teaching reminds us that every act of kindness, every helping hand extended, and every sacrifice made sincerely for the sake of Allah never goes unrewarded. At this blessed time, I urge all well-meaning sons and daughters of Osun State to embrace the spirit of charity, unity, kindness, and peaceful coexistence by extending love and support to the less privileged, widows, orphans, neighbors, and those in need.

“The Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) also taught us: “Allah helps His servant as long as His servant helps his brother, (Sahih Muslim).

“This profound message should inspire us all to continue to support one another, strengthen the bond of brotherhood, and promote peace and harmony in our communities. Let us use this holy season to forgive one another, renew our commitment to good deeds, and work collectively for the unity, progress, and development of Osun State.

“I also call on our youths to remain hopeful, responsible, and focused while encouraging our leaders and citizens alike to continue promoting justice, peace, and mutual understanding irrespective of religious or political affiliations.

“As we celebrate, let us remember that unity in diversity, love for humanity, and service to others remain essential values for building a prosperous society.

“May Almighty Allah (SWT) accept our sacrifices, answer our prayers, bless our homes with peace and abundance, and continue to guide and protect Osun State and Nigeria at large.

“Eid Mubarak to all Muslim Ummah and the good people of Osun State”, Baba Adini of Osun State concluded.
