Zelenskyy: Russia Launched 640 Shahed Drones at Ukraine in Early September
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that Russian forces deployed over 640 Shahed-type drones against Ukraine during the first half of September, including a strike on nine regions and Kyiv on September 16 using 53 drones.

Iran, however, denies providing these weapons, despite growing cooperation with Russia since 2022.
