APC USA Youth Leader Commends Okpebholo’s Triumph in Edo Governorship Election

Mr. Oyakhilome Bello, the National Youth Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) USA chapter, has praised Sen. Monday Okpebholo’s victory as Edo State governor-elect, citing his unwavering integrity and dedication to the welfare of the people as pivotal to the win.

In an exclusive interview with newsmen in Abuja, Bello emphasized that Okpebholo’s consistent commitment to advancing Edo State’s interests during his tenure as senator won the people’s trust and confidence.

“This triumph is a testament to the people’s belief in the APC’s ideology and Okpebholo’s capability to fulfill his campaign promises,” Bello remarked.

As a member of the Diaspora Directorate of the Edo Governorship Campaign Council, Bello highlighted that Okpebholo’s senatorial experience provided him with the foundation needed to lead as governor.

He extended his congratulations to Okpebholo and his deputy, Dennis Idahosa, acknowledging their vision for a brighter future and their dedication to the people of Edo State.

Bello also lauded the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for conducting a credible and peaceful election, announcing that Okpebholo, 54, garnered 291,667 votes, surpassing the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate Asue Ighodalo, who received 247,274 votes. The Labour Party (LP) candidate, Olumide Akpata, placed third with 22,361 votes, among the 17 candidates in the race.

Bello concluded by wishing Okpebholo the wisdom, strength, and vision to lead Edo State toward growth, development, and prosperity through inclusive governance and transformative initiatives.
