African Stars Rema, Burna Boy, Ayra Starr, Tyla & More Score Nominations at 2024 MTV EMAs

MTV has unveiled the nominees for the 2024 Europe Music Awards (EMAs), with African artists making a strong showing. Representing the continent are Rema, Tyla, Ayra Starr, Burna Boy, Tems, and Asake.

Leading the charge with four nominations each, Ayra Starr and Tyla are up for major awards, including Best New, Best Push, Best R&B, and Best Afrobeats.

Other nominees for the Best Afrobeats category include Nigerian stars Asake, Burna Boy, Rema, and Tems.

On the global stage, Taylor Swift tops the list with seven nominations, including Best Artist, Best Video, and Best Pop.

The 2024 EMAs, celebrating their 30th anniversary, will take place on November 10 in Manchester and will be broadcast live on MTV UK and other platforms.
