Anambra APC Leaders Condemn Bianca Ojukwu’s Ministerial Appointment as “Anti-Party”

The All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders in Anambra State have strongly criticized President Bola Tinubu’s decision to appoint Bianca Ojukwu, a prominent All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) figure, as a minister-designate.

The APC stakeholders expressed disapproval, calling the move an act of “anti-party” that undermines their members’ morale and party loyalty.

During an emergency meeting held on October 24 in Awka, High Chief Bunty Onuigbo, APC’s South East Zonal Secretary and member of the APC Elders Forum, voiced the concerns on behalf of the party.

“This decision by the President to empower members of rival parties over loyal APC members in Anambra is troubling and counterproductive,” Onuigbo said, adding that such actions could prompt a “mass defection” to APGA in the state.

Onuigbo went further to question Tinubu’s intentions, suggesting the president’s choice might indirectly bolster APGA’s influence in Anambra, a move he described as “unheard of and highly demoralizing” for APC supporters.

Bianca Ojukwu’s appointment, part of a recent cabinet selection on October 23, has sparked debate across social media, with Nigerians discussing the potential implications for the APC’s unity and loyalty in Anambra.
