AIG Zone 12 visits Gombe Police Command, commends CP

The Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG), Zone 12, in charge of Bauchi and Gombe States, AIG Vungmoh S.M. Kwaimo has commended the Gombe State Police Command under the leadership of CP Umar Chuso for effective policing of the state.

AIG Kwaimo who paid a working visit to the Gombe State Police Command Headquarters, in Gombe on Friday said he was impressed with what he saw on the ground.

Speaking with journalists shortly after the engagement meeting with stakeholders, the 31st AIG of the zone said he was at the command to reinforce what the officers knew and to remind them of what they had forgotten.

“I am in Gombe on a visit to the command as I am expected to oversee both Gombe and Bauchi states all under zone 12.

“What I saw in Gombe is highly commendable. The Commissioner of Police, (CP Umar Chuso) stops at nothing to ensure that he does his work effectively and efficiently.

“I have no doubt as to the policing of Gombe State. His efforts are highly commendable,” he said.

The AIG further said that his visit was to ensure that officers were aware of their core responsibilities to members of the public and to remind them of what they have stopped doing or were taking for granted.

He also commended the officers and men of the Gombe State Police Command for their commitment to maintaining the prevailing peace and security in the State and encouraged them to sustain the momentum.

On his part, Chuso appreciated the AIG for the timely visit while reassuring the Command’s loyalty and unwavering commitment to safeguarding the lives and property of residents of Gombe State.
