Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced another reduction in petrol prices, lowering the ex-depot rate to N825 per litre, marking its second price cut this month.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the company confirmed a N65 reduction from the previous price of N890 per litre. This follows an earlier N60 cut in February, bringing the total reduction since January from N950 to N825 per litre.

“This latest adjustment aims to provide relief to Nigerians ahead of Ramadan and aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s economic recovery efforts,” the statement read.

The new pricing, effective Thursday, Feb. 27, is expected to reflect at the pump, with consumers in Lagos paying between N860 and N865 per litre, while prices in other regions may vary.

Dangote Petroleum Refinery emphasized its commitment to making fuel affordable, highlighting previous reductions during the 2024 holiday season when prices were cut from N970 to N899.50 per litre.

The company assured a steady fuel supply, with over 500 million litres in storage, and urged marketers to support the initiative to benefit Nigerians. It also reiterated its role in strengthening Nigeria’s refining capacity, reducing dependence on imports, and positioning the country as a key player in the global oil market.
