Drama on Air Peace Flight as Two Passengers Claim Same Seat
An Air Peace flight was delayed on Thursday, September 3, after two female passengers reportedly discovered they had been assigned the same seat.
The incident, which caused a standoff before takeoff, was witnessed by Nigerian actor Kevin Mike, who shared details of the drama.
According to him, the trouble began when one of the women boarded the aircraft and proceeded to her assigned seat, only to find another female passenger already occupying it.
The situation escalated after both passengers produced tickets showing that they had been assigned the same seat.
When airline officials intervened and reportedly asked the two women to disembark while the issue was resolved, neither passenger agreed to leave the aircraft. Both insisted that they had valid tickets and wanted to complete their journey.
In an attempt to resolve the situation and minimise the delay, the airline crew announced that any passenger willing to take the next available flight would receive a 50 per cent discount as compensation.
However, no passenger initially accepted the offer, leaving the dispute unresolved and delaying the flight.
The situation was eventually resolved after two male passengers volunteered to take the next flight in exchange for the compensation offered by the airline.
The Air Peace flight subsequently departed after the seat dispute was settled.
A video showing the incident has since surfaced online, capturing the tense moments aboard the aircraft.
