Fatal German Motorway Crash Leaves Two Dead, Several Injured
A severe accident on the A5 motorway near Karlsruhe in southwestern Germany has claimed the lives of two individuals and left several others injured.
The crash, which occurred early Monday morning, involved five cars and three lorries. Police reported that investigators have yet to confirm the exact number of injured persons.
The A5 motorway was entirely closed northbound towards Heidelberg for cleanup operations and to investigate the cause of the accident.
The southbound carriageway towards Karlsruhe experienced significant traffic delays, with police criticizing drivers for slowing down to view the crash scene.
