Galadima support group empowers 318 women in skills acquisition

Alhaji Ahmed Galadima, Governorship aspirant Women Support Group has graduated no fewer than 318 women in skills acquisition training in Yola-South Local Government Area, Adamawa.

The training which was conducted in collaboration with the Free Light Of Nigeria Youth Foundation on various skills which includes shoemaking, bag production, soap production and carpet among others.

Speaking at the ceremony on Wednesday, Hajiya Mariya Nyako, the Women Coordinator said, the aim of the programme is to help the beneficiaries to be self-reliant and productive in the society.

She pledged that the group would also train 500 women in each of the Local Government Areas in the state.

“We started here and we are going to each local government area in the state to train 500 women.

“We are also urging you to pray for Galadima to emerge Governor for more opportunities.”, she said.

Farida Musa, Founder of the foundation called on the beneficiaries to apply the knowledge acquired into practice to be self employed and productive in their respective communities.

Musa who was represented by Zaina Lamdo pledged that soon the foundation would provide them with a starter pack for their success in their business.

In her remarks, Hajiya Fatima Raji also advised the beneficiaries not to be selfish as they were supposed to start making changes through their skills and support the education of their children.

She called on the youth to shun drugs abuse and to get their voters card ready to vote Galadima as the next Governor of the state.

In his response, Galadima who was the immediate past PTDF Boss congratulated the beneficiaries and encouraged the beneficiaries to understand that they were ambassadors of empowerment and charged them to mentor others.

Galadima who was represented by Chief Medan Bulus, an APC Chieftain said the beneficiaries have now stepped into a new identity as creators, contributors, and changemakers in their respective communities.

“May your journey ahead be filled with growth, success, and lasting impact”, he said.

According to him, the programme is a reflection of his vision in action.

He promised that his leadership can be purposeful, inclusive, and impactful
for sustainable development.

Galadima said, his vision in Adamawa State where every woman is equipped, every household is strengthened, and every girl grows up seeing possibility, not limitation.

“Together, we can build a stronger, more inclusive Adamawa State where empowered women drive progress, families thrive, and communities flourish”, he said.
