Hamas has strongly rejected U.S. President Donald Trump’s proposal to relocate Palestinians from the Gaza Strip to Egypt and Jordan, describing it as an “aggressive scheme” designed to displace Palestinians and undermine their national cause.
In a press statement issued on Monday, Hamas accused the plan of disregarding Palestinian historical rights and their commitment to their homeland, despite enduring genocide and forced displacement by the Israeli occupation, particularly in northern Gaza.
“The Palestinians will not accept any plans aimed at uprooting or displacing them,” the statement read.
Hamas also called on the U.S. administration to end its support for Israeli policies that infringe on Palestinian rights and appealed to Arab and Islamic nations, particularly Egypt and Jordan, to oppose the displacement of Palestinians.
“They should support Palestinian resilience by aiding in Gaza’s reconstruction and strengthening their presence on their land,” Hamas added.
