Intruder Breaks into Darwin’s Crocodylus Park, Harasses Crocodile, and Kills Ducks During Escape

A man allegedly broke into Crocodylus Park near Darwin, causing significant damage and distressing wildlife. CCTV footage shows the intruder mishandling a young saltwater crocodile, taking selfies before dropping and chasing it. The 65-centimeter crocodile is currently missing, with park staff searching for its whereabouts.

The individual attempted to steal multiple vehicles, successfully taking a utility vehicle and damaging others. During his escape, he ran over a flock of native Burdekin ducks, resulting in at least two fatalities. Park manager Emily Moyes expressed deep concern over the incident, highlighting the stress inflicted on the animals and the operational challenges posed by the loss and damage of essential vehicles.

Northern Territory Police are investigating the break-in and are appealing to the public for any information related to the incident.
