The Nigeria Employers’ Consultative Association (NECA) has urged employers, job seekers, and relevant stakeholders to participate in the 2025 Job Fair, designed to empower Nigeria’s workforce and drive economic growth.
Director-General of NECA, Adewale-Smatt Oyerinde, made the call on Wednesday in Lagos.
He said that the NECA annual Job and Employability Fair is scheduled for May 15.
He said the fair is a strategic initiative to bridge the gap between employers and job seekers.
“The event will provide a crucial opportunity to reduce unemployment and equip Nigeria’s workforce with the digital skills necessary for success in the evolving job market,” he said.
Oyerinde said that the fair would handle key areas such as career development, which include self-paced e-learning opportunities covering digital skills, employability, and career growth.
Others, he said, are networking hubs, where job seekers would connect with top employers, recruiters, Human Resource professionals, and industry stakeholders.
“There will be on-the-spot interviews which entails immediate job interviews with potential employers, providing candidates the chance to showcase their skills in real time.
“There will also be expert panel discussions: insights from industry leaders on the future of work, digital transformation, and workforce readiness.
“Exhibitions, showcasing companies, training institutes, and digital innovation hubs, offering attendees access to valuable resources and opportunities will be part of the programme,” the DG said.
