Mystery Death Rocks Imo as Nursing Student Is Found Lifeless in Apartment

Authorities in Imo State have confirmed the death of a female student of the College of Nursing, Umulogho, who was found lifeless in her private off-campus apartment.

The Imo State Police Command has launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Confirming the development, the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Henry Okoye, said operatives had visited the scene immediately after receiving a report of the incident.

“The Command is aware of the tragic incident involving the death of a female student of the College of Nursing, Umulogho, whose body was discovered in her private off-campus apartment,” Okoye stated.

He added that the Divisional Police Officer and a team of operatives carried out an on-the-spot assessment of the scene before the body was evacuated and deposited in the morgue.

According to him, efforts are underway to determine what led to the student’s death and to identify and apprehend those responsible.

“The body has been recovered and deposited in the morgue, while investigations have commenced to unravel the circumstances surrounding the incident and arrest those responsible,” he said.

The police assured that further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
