Nigerian singer Omah Lay has revealed that he’s currently in the United States searching for a girlfriend, after being unsuccessful in finding a partner in Nigeria.
The ‘Holy Ghost’ hitmaker shared his relationship struggles during a chat with Ferrari Simmons and Byron Turner on The Baller Alert Show.
He stated, “What brings me to the States? I am looking for a girlfriend. That is why I came to the States. I have been searching in Nigeria, but it is not working.”
When asked about his stance on polygamy, Omah Lay clarified, “No, I don’t, that is not even something I encourage. I am not.”
The singer, born Stanley Omah Didia, has previously opened up about his personal life, including his lack of sexual encounters in 2022. He recently announced a collaboration with Afrobeats star Davido.
Omah Lay began his music journey at the age of 15 and gained widespread recognition in 2020 with his hit singles ‘You’ and ‘Bad Influence.’ His unique style has earned him numerous awards and nominations, solidifying his place in the Nigerian music industry.
