The Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Dr. Paul Enenche, has described the Idoma Hall of Fame (IHoF) as a noble and timely initiative capable of inspiring younger generations to pursue excellence and preserving the rich heritage of the Idoma people.
Pastor Enenche made the remarks on Friday when the Central Planning Committee (CPC) of the Idoma Hall of Fame, led by its Chairman, Chief Paul Harris Ogbole (SAN), paid him a courtesy visit at the Glory Dome, headquarters of Dunamis International Gospel Centre in Abuja.
The visit was to formally present the cleric with his nomination letter for induction into the Idoma Hall of Fame. The induction ceremony is scheduled to take place on October 15, 2026, in Abuja.
Speaking on the significance of the initiative, the Idoma-born cleric likened the Hall of Fame to the biblical “Hall of Faith” referenced in Hebrews 11, where individuals known for their exemplary faith and lives were remembered for generations.
“The Idoma Hall of Fame is noble. It is scriptural and can be likened to the Biblical ‘Hall of Faith’ captured in the book of Hebrews 11,” he said.
He commended the organisers for establishing a platform to recognise distinguished Idoma sons and daughters whose contributions have made significant impact across different sectors.
According to him, celebrating people who have achieved excellence in their respective fields would motivate younger people to aspire to similar heights.
Pastor Enenche noted that Idoma people have distinguished themselves in fields including medicine, law, business and other professions, stressing that their accomplishments deserve to be documented and celebrated.
“When you celebrate excellence like IHoF set out to do, you give room for others to be lifted,” he added.
The cleric further emphasised the importance of creating platforms where individuals, particularly young people, can discover, develop and maximise their potentials, noting that such initiatives ultimately contribute to national development.
Earlier, the Chairman of the Central Planning Committee, Chief Paul Harris Ogbole (SAN), briefed Pastor Enenche on the vision and objectives of the Idoma Hall of Fame.
He explained that the initiative was established to provide a credible platform for celebrating exceptional achievements and outstanding contributions while motivating younger generations to pursue meaningful accomplishments.
The Visioner of the Idoma Hall of Fame, Engr. Agaba Ikwue, said Pastor Enenche’s endorsement aligns with the core objectives of the initiative.
Ikwue explained that the Hall of Fame goes beyond the recognition of individuals, noting that it is also designed to promote youth mentorship, gender equity, preservation of Idoma heritage and community engagement.
“Apart from the celebration of outstanding achievements of individuals who have made remarkable contributions to nation building, the Idoma Hall of Fame seeks to establish a vibrant platform for the preservation of the Idoma heritage, community engagement and inspiration for the next generation, among other objectives,” he said.
The visit ended with special prayers by Pastor Enenche for the success of the October 15 induction ceremony and for the Idoma Hall of Fame to outlive its founders and become a lasting legacy for present and future generations.
The Idoma Hall of Fame is expected to bring together distinguished Idoma personalities and stakeholders as the community celebrates excellence, heritage and contributions to society.
