Pope Francis Cancels Appointments Due to Mild Flu Ahead of Upcoming Trip
Pope Francis has canceled all his appointments scheduled for Monday as he recovers from a mild flu, the Vatican announced.
The 87-year-old pontiff will use the time to rest before embarking on an upcoming foreign trip to Luxembourg on Thursday, followed by a visit to Belgium.
This is not the first time the Pope has had to cancel appointments in recent months due to health issues. Despite this, he successfully completed a 12-day trip to Asia and the Pacific earlier in September.
Pope Francis, who often uses a wheelchair during public appearances due to knee pain and a hip ailment, will turn 88 in December, making him the oldest pope in over a century.
