Putin Warns of Direct NATO Involvement in Ukraine Conflict
Russian President Vladimir Putin has cautioned Western nations that providing Ukraine with long-range missiles could escalate their involvement in the ongoing conflict with Russia. He stated that such actions could prompt Russia to respond to emerging threats accordingly.
Ukraine has been seeking advanced missiles from its Western allies, aiming to target deeper into Russian territory, according to Western media sources. Putin emphasized that NATO service members, not Ukrainians, are responsible for handling these missile systems.
“This is not about allowing the Ukrainian regime to attack Russia,” Putin explained. “It’s about whether NATO countries, including the U.S. and Europe, are choosing to directly participate in the conflict.”
Reports suggest the U.S. is finalizing plans to lift restrictions on Ukraine’s use of donated weapons, including British long-range missiles with American components, to strike targets inside Russia.
