Team Nigeria Arrives Paris, Vows Medal Success at 2024 Paralympics

Team Nigeria has officially arrived in Paris for the 2024 Paralympic Games, promising to deliver a strong medal-winning performance.

The 35-member contingent, including 23 athletes, seven coaches, and five medical staff, touched down on Thursday from their training camp in Germany.

Suleiman Isah, Secretary General of the Paralympic Committee of Nigeria (PCN), confirmed their arrival and noted that PCN President Sunday Odebode warmly received the team at the games village.

“The athletes are settling in, and tomorrow training begins,” Isah told newsmen.

Team Nigeria’s head coach, Nasiru Sule, expressed confidence in the team’s readiness, following two weeks of intensive preparation in Germany. “The athletes are motivated and ready to compete. We’re optimistic about bringing home medals,” Sule remarked.

As Nigeria aims to surpass its ten-medal tally from the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics, hopes are high, with Luritta Onye chosen as the flag bearer and Folashade Olufemi-Ayo named the team captain.
