Tiger Mauls Handler at Australia’s Dreamworld Park, Hospitalisation Ensues

A trained animal handler was hospitalised after being attacked by a tiger at Dreamworld, Australia’s largest amusement park, according to local media reports on Monday.

The Australian Associated Press (AAP) reported that the woman sustained injuries to her arm and was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

In a statement to AAP, a Dreamworld spokesperson confirmed the incident, describing it as “isolated and rare.” The park has announced that a thorough review will be conducted.

Dreamworld, located on Queensland’s Gold Coast, is home to nine tigers, including both Sumatran and Bengal species.
