Trump Revokes Security Clearances for Harris, Clinton, and Other Critics

U.S. President Donald Trump has revoked the security clearances of former Vice President Kamala Harris, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and several other political figures in his latest move against Democratic opponents.

In a memorandum issued late Friday, Trump declared that it was no longer in the national interest for these individuals to access classified information.

Among those affected are former Secretary of State Antony Blinken, former White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan, and Republican critic Liz Cheney.

The decision follows Trump’s earlier revocation of former President Joe Biden’s security clearance, denying him the traditional access granted to former presidents for intelligence briefings.

The move is widely seen as part of Trump’s ongoing efforts to sideline political adversaries, deepening tensions in Washington. Trump had previously been stripped of his own security clearance by Biden in 2021 after leaving office.

While the immediate impact of the revocations remains unclear, the decision underscores the growing political divide as Trump targets those he perceives as threats to his administration.
