Unizik Students Allegedly Assault Man Accused of Molesting Female Student

A man alleged to be a lecturer at Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, Anambra State, was reportedly stripped and assaulted by students after a female student allegedly accused him of molesting her.

A video circulating online shows a female student emerging from an office building in distress, with her clothes and hair appearing dishevelled. She is seen crying as students gather around her.

Some students are heard shouting, “Catch him! Catch him!” before running towards the woman, who reportedly fell to the ground while crying.

In another part of the footage, several male students are seen surrounding a naked man, whom they allegedly beat and kick.

Unconfirmed reports claim the incident occurred at the Chike Okoli Centre for Entrepreneurial Studies on the university campus.

According to the reports, the man was allegedly caught naked inside an office after the female student reportedly fled with his clothes and raised an alarm, accusing him of attempting to force her to perform a sexual act.

However, the allegations have not been independently verified, and it remains unclear what transpired inside the office before the confrontation.

The video also appears to show that the alleged lecturer was assaulted by the students before he could publicly present his side of the story.

Authorities at the university had yet to publicly comment on the incident at the time of publication.

The identity of the man and the female student involved has not been disclosed.
