2027: Rambi Ayala our sole Reps candidate – Balanga/Billiri PDP leaders affirm

The leadership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the Balanga-Billiri Federal Constituency has declared its full support for Mr Rambi Ayala as the party’s only candidate for the House of Representatives seat ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The endorsement took place during an affirmation ceremony held at the PDP office in Billiri, where party leaders and supporters gathered to show their support for Ayala.
Speaking at the event, the Billiri PDP Chairman, Mr. Lewi Lasare, who acted as the returning officer, explained that Ayala was the only aspirant who fulfilled the party’s requirements.
“We are here to affirm the only person who bought the nomination form for the Balanga-Billiri Federal Constituency under the PDP. The only person we know in this race is Rambi Ayala, as confirmed by the state office.
“We are not aware of anyone else who purchased the form,” Lasare said.
Also speaking, the Balanga PDP Chairman, Alhaji Ali Bwangal, said contesting for the Balanga-Billiri House of Representatives seat under an opposition party required courage, commitment, and hard work.
The PDP State Deputy Publicity Secretary, Haruna Hussaini Lankangle, stated that since Ayala was the only aspirant, he had automatically become the party’s flag bearer for the constituency in 2027.
During the event, party leaders raised Ayala’s hands to officially present him as the PDP consensus candidate for the constituency.
In his acceptance speech, Barrister Rambi Ibrahim Ayala thanked the PDP leadership for the trust placed in him.
He described himself as a loyal member who was “born and brought up in the PDP” and called on party members to unite and forgive past misunderstandings in order to strengthen the party.
Ayala promised to work hard to challenge the ruling APC administration in the 2027 elections, which he described as “ruthless and tyrannical.”
He also declared his support for the current Gombe South Senator, Anthony Siyako Yaro, and pledged to mobilise support for his re-election.
“We have every reason to support our senator. We will go to every part of Gombe South to seek support for Senator Anthony Siyako Yaro so that he can return to the National Assembly and continue representing the people,” Ayala said.
Ayala praised the PDP leadership for ensuring fairness in zoning the senatorial and House of Representatives seats to Balanga and Billiri local government areas.
He noted that Balanga had held the House of Representatives seat for about 20 years and commended the party for zoning it to Billiri to promote fairness and equality.
He also called on members to continue praying for the party leadership at all levels and paid tribute to the state party leader, Senator Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo, whom he described as a strong supporter of the Balanga-Billiri constituency and Gombe South.
The ceremony attracted a large number of party members, stakeholders, and supporters who expressed their solidarity through songs and cheers.
