At least seven people, including students, were injured on Tuesday after a gunman opened fire inside a high school in southeastern Turkey, according to local media reports.

The incident occurred in the Siverek district of Şanlıurfa Province, where an unidentified attacker armed with a shotgun reportedly entered the school premises early in the day and began shooting indiscriminately.

Authorities said the motive behind the attack remains unclear. Reports indicate that the suspect stayed inside the school following the shooting, refusing to surrender despite repeated warnings from security forces.

Police and emergency responders swiftly arrived at the scene, cordoning off the area while medical teams attended to the injured victims.
