Troops Repel Attack in Zamfara as IED Explosion Hits Supply Route, No Casualties Report

Troops under Operation FANSAN YAMMA have responded to a late-night terrorist attack near Zamfarawa outpost in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State, while an improvised explosive device (IED) incident was recorded along a nearby route

Security sources said personnel of 1 Brigade, operating from the Forward Operating Base in Danjibga, mobilised at about 10:10 p.m. on April 21 following reports of gunfire in the vicinity of the outpost

After the engagement, a vehicle transporting grains to Danjibga reportedly triggered an IED along the Danjibga–Kunchin Kalgo axis

According to the sources, no casualties were recorded from the explosion

Troops have since intensified patrols and surveillance along the route to prevent further attacks and ensure the safety of residents and commuters in the area….:de area.
