Troops have arrested three suspected terrorist collaborators during a coordinated offensive operation in Borgu Local Government Area of Niger State.

The early morning operation, carried out around 6:17 a.m. on April 22, involved personnel from Forward Operating Bases in Audu Fari and Babana, according to security sources.

The troops conducted simultaneous clearance and domination patrols across several locations, including Kuble–Lumma–Swahi, Saminaka–Kanu, Sokomba–Kabe–Kerengi–Mirami, as well as the wider Babana axis.

Security sources said the mission was designed to restrict the movement of criminal elements and reinforce control within the troops’ area of responsibility.

During the operation, three individuals suspected of collaborating with terrorist groups were apprehended. They are currently in military custody pending further investigation.

Authorities say operations will continue across the region as part of ongoing efforts to dismantle criminal networks and strengthen security.
