The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Yobe State, Alhaji Baba Mallam Wali, FCAN, mni, has attributed his years of service in government to the confidence reposed in him by Governor Mai Mala Buni.

Wali said the governor’s trust and support gave him the opportunity to serve Yobe State as Secretary to the State Government for seven years.

He made the remarks on Saturday in Damaturu while receiving a delegation of key APC stakeholders from Gujba Local Government Area who paid him a congratulatory visit following his emergence as the party’s governorship candidate.

Expressing appreciation for the visit, Wali described the turnout as a demonstration of solidarity and confidence in his candidacy.

According to him, the confidence Governor Buni has shown in his leadership capacity over the years played a significant role in his contributions to governance and development in the state.

The APC candidate pledged to provide inclusive and participatory leadership if elected, assuring residents that his administration would carry everyone along regardless of political affiliation, social status, or regional background.

Leading the delegation, the Acting Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Mohammed Goje, described Wali as an experienced administrator and accomplished public servant.

Goje said Wali’s emergence as the APC governorship candidate reflected recognition of his competence, integrity, and commitment to advancing Yobe State’s development.

He also reaffirmed the support and loyalty of the people of Gujba Local Government Area to the APC and its candidate ahead of the 2027 general elections.
