Olujuwon Obasanjo, son of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, has joined the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement as Special Adviser on Political Affairs, declaring support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.

Olujuwon made the declaration on Wednesday, November 4, during a visit to the movement’s headquarters in Abuja, where he was received by its National Coordinator, Sunday Adekanbi Asuku.

The former president’s son described his appointment as an honour and privilege, expressing readiness to contribute to the organisation’s political mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He commended the movement for its grassroots engagement, community outreach and efforts to promote the activities of the Tinubu administration.

Olujuwon said he had been monitoring the organisation’s activities and was impressed by its achievements, adding that he was prepared to support its objectives and Tinubu’s second-term ambition.

He also urged Nigerians, particularly young people, to support the President’s ongoing reforms and ensure continuity in governance.

According to him, the administration has recorded progress in areas such as salary payments, infrastructure development and investment opportunities, stressing that the gains should be sustained.

Olujuwon expressed optimism that continued support for Tinubu would enable the administration to consolidate its achievements and deliver more benefits to Nigerians.

He further disclosed that he had been a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) since 2014.

The younger Obasanjo explained that members of his family were free to hold independent political views and pursue their political interests without hostility.

Earlier, Asuku welcomed Olujuwon into the movement, describing him as an experienced political figure whose background in leadership and governance would strengthen the organisation’s grassroots mobilisation activities.

He expressed confidence that Olujuwon’s political experience would contribute to the movement’s expansion and objectives ahead of the 2027 elections.

The development comes amid growing political activities and mobilisation by supporters of President Tinubu ahead of the next presidential election.
