The Taraba State Government on Friday officially renamed the Taraba Government House as T.Y. Danjuma House in recognition of the elder statesman’s exceptional contributions to the state and nation.
During the unveiling ceremony, Deputy Governor Alhaji Aminu Alkali, who also chaired the organizing committee, explained that the decision to rename the government house was a tribute to Gen. T.Y. Danjuma’s vital role in the development of Taraba and his significant contributions to nation-building.
“This renaming is a gesture of gratitude for the elder statesman’s remarkable efforts in advancing the state’s growth and his service to the nation,” Alkali said.
In response, Gen. Danjuma expressed his appreciation for the honor, noting that it would encourage him to further support Taraba’s development. He also called for unity across political, tribal, and religious lines to help the current administration succeed.
