Zelenskyy to Unveil Ukraine’s ‘Victory Plan’ at Ramstein Meeting with Allies

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced on Saturday that he will present his country’s “victory plan” at a key meeting of Kyiv’s international supporters, scheduled for October 12 at the US air base in Ramstein, Germany.

The plan, which remains undisclosed to the public, has already been shared with US President Joe Biden and both US presidential candidates ahead of the upcoming elections.

The Ramstein gathering, expected to attract over 50 of Ukraine’s allies, including Biden, will mark the 25th meeting of Kyiv’s supporters, and the first at the leaders’ level. Zelenskyy revealed via Telegram that the plan will outline “clear, specific steps for a just end to the war.”

Although the details of the victory plan are not yet public, it has been a recurring topic in Kyiv’s communications as Ukraine continues its battle against Russian forces, now approaching 1,000 days since the invasion.

US officials have indicated that the plan includes several constructive actions, with ongoing discussions between Washington and Kyiv. However, reports from the Wall Street Journal suggest that the plan may lack a comprehensive strategy to defeat Russian forces, focusing instead on Ukraine’s calls for more military aid and expanded use of Western long-range weapons.

Meanwhile, on the battlefield, Russia’s Defense Ministry claimed the capture of the village of Zhelanne Druhe in the eastern Donetsk region, though Moscow still controls only about 60% of the area.

Despite these gains, Russian forces continue to face significant losses. In contrast, Ukraine recently confirmed a withdrawal from the mining town of Vuhledar.
