Israeli Airstrikes Kill 10 More Palestinians in Gaza
At least 10 more Palestinians were killed in a series of Israeli airstrikes across the Gaza Strip on Friday evening, according to the Civil Defense.
Six Palestinians were killed and others injured in Israeli airstrikes targeting two homes, one in Zawayda town in the central Gaza Strip and the other in Khan Younis in the south.
Additionally, two Palestinians were killed in an airstrike on a gathering in the Al-Kateeba area of Khan Younis. Another airstrike on a gathering in western Gaza City resulted in two more fatalities and multiple injuries.
Further injuries were reported from Israeli shelling of a home in the western Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.
Despite a UN Security Council resolution demanding an immediate ceasefire, Israel has continued its offensive on Gaza, drawing international condemnation. Since an October 7 attack by Hamas, nearly 39,200 Palestinians, mostly women and children, have been killed and more than 90,000 injured, according to local health authorities.
Vast areas of Gaza remain in ruins due to the prolonged conflict and blockade, with severe shortages of food, clean water, and medicine. The International Court of Justice has accused Israel of genocide and recently ordered it to halt its military operations in Rafah, where over one million Palestinians had sought refuge before the city’s invasion on May 6.
