The National Executive Council of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has appointed Emmanuel Ehumadu as the Chairman of the Interim Caretaker Committee for its Abia State chapter.

Dr. Emeka Rollas, the National President of AGN, announced the appointment in a statement issued on Tuesday in Lagos. He also revealed that Moira Mba would serve as the Secretary of the committee.

“It is the resolution of the National Executive Council of the Actors Guild of Nigeria to appoint Emmanuel Ehumadu as Chairman, Interim Caretaker Committee of Abia State chapter, with immediate effect,” Rollas stated.

Ehumadu is tasked with overseeing the administration of the Abia chapter, facilitating peace processes, and ensuring stability within the state branch. His role also includes preparing for the eventual handover to an elected state executive once elections are conducted.

Dr. Rollas expressed confidence in Ehumadu’s ability to lead effectively, emphasizing the importance of his dedication to the role. However, he warned that the appointment could be terminated for acts of indiscipline, disobedience, or actions contrary to the AGN constitution.

“Congratulations, and we urge you to carry out this responsibility with the utmost seriousness,” Rollas concluded.
