Regina Daniels Custody Dispute: Lawyer Explains Court Conditions for Access to Children

Celebrity lawyer Rita Amy Aduba has commented on the ongoing child custody dispute involving actress Regina Daniels and her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, clarifying details of a reported High Court ruling on access to their two sons.

In a video circulating online, Aduba referenced what she described as a 15-page High Court judgment and explained that the actress was granted supervised access to the children rather than being denied visitation rights.

According to the lawyer, the court’s decision allows Regina to see the children under specific conditions pending the determination of the custody matter.

Aduba stated that supervised visitation means meetings with the children must take place under the oversight of the Abuja social welfare office.

She outlined six key conditions reportedly contained in the court order:

Supervised visitation: Regina’s access to the children must occur under official supervision.

Child protection measures: Visits must be conducted in an environment considered safe and suitable for the children.

Restrictions on association: The children must not be introduced to or be in the company of certain individuals listed in the ruling.

Interim custody arrangement: Custody remains with Senator Ned Nwoko until the matter is fully resolved.

Drug screening requirement: Regina is expected to undergo confirmatory testing at  laboratories.

Mental fitness assessment: The court reportedly requires evidence of mental and emotional fitness during visits.

Addressing public reactions to the matter, Aduba argued that the ruling was designed to prioritise the welfare of the children while preserving parental access.

She maintained that the senator had not been legally empowered to prevent visitation but that compliance with the court’s directives remained necessary.

The comments have generated widespread discussion online, with social media users expressing differing views over the reported restrictions and the broader implications for parental rights and child welfare.

Neither Regina Daniels nor Senator Ned Nwoko had publicly responded to the latest remarks at the time of filing this report.
