Buhari Calls Widespread Flooding in Borno, Other States a National Calamity

Former President Muhammadu Buhari has extended his sympathies to the governments and people of Borno and other states affected by severe flooding, calling the disaster a national calamity.

In a statement released on Tuesday by his Senior Special Adviser, Malam Garba Shehu, Buhari expressed deep concern over the destruction of homes, farmland, and the tragic loss of lives caused by the floods across multiple states.

He acknowledged the devastating impact on livelihoods and hoped that ongoing relief efforts by various governments would provide much-needed support to those who have lost family members and property.

“My thoughts and prayers are with all those affected by this natural disaster,” Buhari said.
