Hajiya Aishatu Jibir-Dukku, Chairperson of the Governing Council, College of Education and Legal Studies, Nafada, Gombe State, has presented appointment letters to newly appointed principal officers of the institution.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony in Gombe on Wednesday, Jibir-Dukku said the appointments were approved by Gov. Inuwa Yahaya, through the Ministry of Higher Education.

The principal officers include Dr Dawud Muhammad as Provost; Aishatu Mahmoud, to serve as Registrar; Muhammad Ahijo Bursar, and Usman Muhammad as Librarian.

Jibir-Dukku commended the ministry, past and present officials, and members of the Governing Council for their support and dedication during the selection process.

According to her, the process was thoroughly undertaken to ensure that the best candidates were chosen.

She reminded the new officers that their appointments carried great responsibility, urging them to see the roles as a call to service rather than a cause for celebration.

In his response, the Provost of the College, Dr Dawud Muhammad, expressed appreciation to the Almighty, the state government, and the Governing Council for the trust placed in them.

Muhammad described the appointment as both an honour and a responsibility, noting that the new leadership team was committed to promoting academic excellence and advancing the goals of the institution.

The provost assured the council that the management of the college would discharge its duties professionally, work within its mandate, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to achieve the set goals.
