The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has announced the commencement of physical screening and documentation for successful candidates shortlisted for enlistment into the Service.
According to a statement issued on Tuesday by the NCS National Public Relations Officer, Deputy Comptroller of Customs Abdullahi Maiwada, the exercise will take place at the Nigeria Customs Command and Staff College (NCCSC), Gwagwalada, Abuja.
The Service directed all shortlisted candidates to appear at the screening venue with the original and photocopies of specified documents as part of the verification process.
The required documents include the National Identification Number (NIN), original Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age, as well as educational certificates, including O’Level, National Diploma (ND), Higher National Diploma (HND), degree or other applicable qualifications.
Candidates are also required to present a Certificate of State of Origin, two recent passport photographs, a completed Guarantor’s Form and NYSC Certificate, where applicable.
The NCS further directed candidates to appear for the exercise dressed in a white T-shirt, shorts and canvas shoes.
It warned that candidates must report strictly on the date allocated to their respective states and cadres, stressing that attendance at the physical screening and documentation exercise is compulsory.
The Service cautioned that failure to appear on the scheduled date could lead to disqualification from the recruitment process.
The NCS said successful completion of the physical screening and documentation would qualify shortlisted candidates to receive further instructions on subsequent stages of the recruitment exercise.
Reaffirming its commitment to a credible recruitment process, the Service, under the leadership of Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, MFR, and his management team, assured candidates and the general public that the exercise would be transparent, fair and merit-based.
The Service also urged candidates to rely solely on official NCS communication channels for authentic information concerning the recruitment exercise and warned against depending on unverified information.
