Ethiopia has reiterated its commitment to strengthening trade and economic cooperation with Russia, Valentina Matvienko, Speaker of the upper house of the Russian parliament, has said.
Matvienko made the statement on Thursday after concluding her visit to Ethiopia, describing the trip as productive and yielding concrete agreements.
During her three-day visit, she met with Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali and the speakers of both chambers of Ethiopia’s parliament. On the final day, she was hosted by Ethiopian President Taye Atske Selassie in Addis Ababa.
According to Matvienko, Ethiopian officials reaffirmed their dedication to expanding bilateral relations with Russia across various sectors, emphasizing the importance of deepening economic collaboration.
