Dr Jamil I. Gwamna has accepted his election as the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress for the 2027 elections in Gombe State.
In his acceptance speech on May 22, 2026, Gwamna thanked Almighty Allah and expressed appreciation to party members and supporters for trusting him with the party’s ticket.
He commended the leadership of Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, saying the governor has made important progress in areas such as roads, healthcare, education, farming, security, and human development.
Gwamna said the achievements of the present administration have strengthened public confidence in the APC and prepared the party for the 2027 elections.
He also thanked APC leaders, party officials, stakeholders, aspirants, and supporters for their efforts during the primary election process.
According to him, the primaries showed that the APC in Gombe State remains united and committed to democratic values.
The APC candidate called on all aspirants and party members to put aside their differences and work together for the peace, unity, and development of Gombe State.
He promised to lead with fairness and remain open and accountable to all citizens, regardless of political party, ethnic group, or social background.
Gwamna said his vision is to build an inclusive government where every citizen feels valued and has the opportunity to contribute to the development of the state.
He also assured that the APC would continue the development projects started by the current administration and work hard to win the 2027 elections at all levels.
