Nigerian Army seeks greater collaboration for effective service delivery

The Nigerian Army has called for greater collaboration among security agencies in the country for effective service delivery.

The call was made on Friday by the Commander, 3 Army Brigade, Bukavu Barracks, Kano, Brig.-Gen. Ahmed Tukur.

He was speaking shortly after a special Jumaat prayers held in honour of the country’s fallen heroes at the Central Mosque, Bukavu Barracks, Kano.

Tukur paid tribute to the fallen heroes for laying down their lives in defense of Nigeria’s territorial integrity.

He urged Nigerians to continuously offer prayers for the repose of their souls.

He stressed that their sacrifices should not be in vain and emphasised the need for unity and cooperation among the country’s security agencies.

In his sermon, Major Sabiu Yusuf, Imam of the Central Mosque, Bukavu Barracks, Kano, said that security was a collective responsibility of all stakeholders.

He quoted from the Quranic verses and prophetic traditions to convey his message.

The prayer session was attended by many high-ranking officials, including AIG Zone 1, Ahmad Ammani, and Kano State Commissioner of Police, Salman Garba.
