Sen. Abbas distributes 60 cars, 170 tricycles, motorcycles, others to constituents

​ Senator Aminu Iya Abbas, representing Adamawa Central has distributed 60 cars, 170 tricycles, motorcycles, 100 sewing machines and other items to uplift Adamawa Central Constituents.

Abbas who is the Chairman, Senate Committee on Innovation, Science and Technology, said the exercise marked one of the massive multi-million naira empowerment program.

​The event saw the distribution of a vast array of economic assets designed to stimulate growth across the seven Local Government Areas of the zone, including Hong, Gombi, Song, Girei, Yola North, Yola South, and Fufore.

The other items distributed included:
70 “Carry Go” Tricycle, ​30 Keke Napep Tricycles, ​50 Refrigerators, ​50 Solar Water Pumps for farmers and ​50 Electric Generators.

​Senator Abbas while addressing the beneficiaries reaffirmed his dedication to the people who elected him.

​”My mandate is a sacred trust. Today is not just about giving out items; it is about providing the means for our people to stand on their own feet.

“I have heard your cries and seen your needs. These tools are meant to turn you into entrepreneurs,” the Senator stated

He charged the beneficiaries to use the items provided for the intended purposes to better their families and respective communities.

“We are not just distributing equipment; we are planting seeds of self-reliance that will flourish across Adamawa Central. I assure you of my continued commitment towards delivering on every campaign promise made to the electorate.”

​Alhaji Hamza Madagali, the State Chairman of APC expressed the party’s pride in the Senator’s performance.

The Chairman who was represented by the Welfare Officer of the Party, Alhaji Isa Bagalci said, the APC is proud of Senator Abbas.

“This empowerment proves that he is not just a Senator of words, but a Senator of action and a true hopeful for our state’s future,” he said.

According to him, the Senator’s “technocratic precision” has set a high bar for legislative representation.

In his remarks, ​Dr. Adamu Babikkoi, Special Adviser to the Adamawa State governor on Good Governance, described the initiative as a perfect alignment with broader development goals.

“Senator Abbas has proven himself to be a leader who understands the pulse of the people. This intervention is a masterclass in people-oriented representation that directly supports our goals for poverty reduction and economic stability,” he remarked.

​On his part, Alhaji Salihu Baba Ahmed, Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Matters, emphasized the Senator’s connection to the grassroots.

“Senator Abbas is a man of the people because he listens and then acts. From education to science and technology, and now this massive economic boost, he has shown that he is the leader of Adamawa Central and indeed the state needs continued progress,” Ahmed said.

​Speaking earlier, the chairman of the local organising committee of the program, Chief Alexander Barunde, ACG (Rtd), also lauded the scale of the intervention.

Shamsudden Bello and Joshua Bernard who spoke on behalf of the beneficiaries expressed deep appreciation for the gesture and assured to use them judiciously.

“Senator Abbas has not just given us machines; he has given us a livelihood; We promise to utilise these items to grow our local economy and support our families as intended.”
