Troops Intercept Vehicle Carrying Suspected Explosive Materials in Kaduna, Arrest Driver
Security operatives have intercepted a vehicle allegedly transporting suspected explosive materials during a routine stop-and-search operation in Jema’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Sources told Zagazola Makama that the operation took place at about 6:10 p.m. on June 24 at Barde village, where security personnel flagged down the vehicle for inspection.
During the search, operatives reportedly discovered a quantity of suspected explosive powder along with three detonating wires concealed inside the vehicle.
The driver, identified as Lawal Musa, was immediately taken into custody, while the recovered items were secured for further examination.
According to security sources, the suspect is currently undergoing preliminary investigation to determine the origin and intended use of the materials. Authorities said further investigations are ongoing.
