“Unbuildable”: Mat Armstrong, Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport, Rebuild, $6M

Mat Armstrong has done the unthinkable: he has officially finished rebuilding the $6 million Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport that Bugatti insisted was impossible to save.

The ambitious project was a massive undertaking for the YouTuber and his crew, plagued by endless road blocks. Chief among them was Bugatti’s refusal to supply OEM spare parts, alongside the astronomical costs of custom repairs.

Despite the skepticism, the finished hypercar is now practically complete—and it won’t be long before this infamous Bugatti hits the pavement once again.

Overcoming the Final Hurdles
The journey wasn’t without its creative workarounds. Armstrong’s team had to re-engineer the rear wing, modifying the original Chiron Pur Sport spoiler so it would sit flush with the new setup.
Once the body panels were mounted, the car was sprayed in a striking Lamborghini purple pearlescent finish.

“The color looks immense,” Armstrong remarked upon seeing the fresh paint. “So much better than the wrap.”
For Armstrong, seeing the painted panels fully assembled completely validated his controversial decision to fit the hypercar with a custom body kit.

“That looks mega,” he exclaimed as the car finally neared completion.
