Debris Accident at Mina Al Ahmadi Refinery Injures 2 Workers in Kuwait

Two workers sustained minor injuries after debris fell at the Mina Al Ahmadi refinery early Monday, according to a joint statement by the Kuwait National Petroleum Company and the Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Industries Company.

Ghanem Al Otaibi, official spokesperson for both companies, said the injured workers were immediately taken to hospital for medical attention, adding that their conditions are stable and they remain under observation.

He confirmed that refinery operations and production were not affected by the incident and continued without interruption. Emergency response teams were swiftly deployed, with the rapid response plan activated and all precautionary safety measures implemented to protect staff and infrastructure.

Al Otaibi further assured that the refinery sustained no damage and continues to operate at full capacity, stressing that the safety of personnel across all facilities remains the top priority.
