Pakistan Military Reports Killing 90 Terrorists in August Operations
Pakistan’s military announced that 90 terrorists were killed during 4,021 operations conducted across the country in August. The operations were carried out with the collaboration of security forces and other law enforcement agencies, according to Ahmed Chaudhry, Director-General of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
During a news conference, Chaudhry revealed that a total of 32,173 intelligence-based operations had been conducted from January to August, significantly weakening terrorist networks in the region. He also disclosed that 193 military officers and soldiers lost their lives in the fight against terrorism during the first eight months of 2024.
The military’s sustained efforts are part of a broader strategy to enhance national security and counter terrorist threats across Pakistan.
