A former Big Brother Naija housemate has cautioned aspiring contestants against paying money to individuals promising guaranteed access into the reality show, describing such claims as fraudulent.

The reality star revealed that he auditioned four different times before eventually being selected for the show, urging hopefuls to remain patient and follow the official audition process.

According to him, his social media inbox has recently been flooded with messages from people seeking assistance to secure a place in the BBNaija house.

“My DM is filled up with messages from people asking me to influence their entries into BBNaija. Please, I do not have the power to put you into the Big Brother house. Stop sending messages,” he said.

“Every year when the programme is approaching, I keep getting messages, but this year’s own is too much.”

He acknowledged the growing desire among young Nigerians to gain fame through the reality TV platform, especially amid the country’s economic challenges, but stressed that persistence and legitimate auditions remain the only credible route into the competition.

“I understand that the economy is hard and everyone wants to be famous by going to the Big Brother show. But please, go and audition. Follow the due process,” he added.

“I auditioned four times before I was picked. Keep auditioning even if they reject you. And don’t fall victim to scammers by giving anyone money to secure a BBNaija slot. Be wise about it.”
